Days 80 to 84 – Quite a busy few days albeit not much visible change in the apartment – apologies for not blogging sooner.
The roof panels arrived last Thursday so with help from my friend Ulf, we managed to get these up to the roof. Also took delivery of a bunch of sand which will be used when tiling the terrace. On Friday I installed the insulation panels on the roof ready for the concrete guys to appear on Monday morning.
Monday arrived and after an hour waiting I called the concrete people who told me the crew couldn’t come as they’d been at a party last night and they couldn’t be woken up – not heard that one before. So, after calming down, we arranged for the concrete to be poured on the roof on Thursday (tomorrow).
So, instead of playing with the roof I’ve completed all tiling in Bedroom 3, fitted taps in the kitchen and almost completed tiling there. I’ve had a meeting with another friend who will help me complete the plumbing next week. The heatpump (to power the underfloor heating) has been ordered and making it’s way here with Low Cost Shipping.
The waste pipes to the rear of the property have now been installed and the garage area has now been concreted and tested with my car!
Tomorrow the roof and hopefully complete the tiling in the kitchen. Following that we’ll spend a few days grouting – mundane task but critical to seal the tiles.
