Days 165 to 173 – a couple of week’s since my last post so quite a bit achieved, albeit not as much as I anticipated.

The terrace which I thought would take 3 or 4 days ended up taking 8, in the main due to time taken mixing concrete.  I was adamant that we would clear the majority of sand beneath the tiles (or convert it to concrete) to prevent the possibility of future subsidence and this all added to the time.  That said, the end result of great, all skirting tiles complete, painting done and the top of the wall completed in wood effect tiles.  I’ve also managed to fit a couple of lights and the external plug socket for the terrace.

Enemalta have fitted the fuse box and hooked us up to mains electric and the consumer unit has been completed and tested by my electrician friend.  We’ve been promised water next week by Water Services Corporation.

The kitchen dropped ceiling is complete (I will probably apply one further coat of emulsion) and work is underway to complete the front bathroom.  The grout cleaning is about half done, the shaver sockets fitted and the toilet flush installed.

Communally, the lift installation has advanced with lift doors installed.  Hopefully this progress will continue.

Next week I intend completing the front bathroom, completing connection of the remainder of waste pipes and completing grouting the back 2 bathrooms.

Still on track for “move in” by end March ….
