Days 150 to 154 – All internal tiling (dust creation) is complete! Very happy as a consequence – just the grouting of the wall tiles to go which will be attacked next week.
Apart from that this week the frame which will hold the kitchen’s extractor fan was installed, a few extra sockets have been fitted (in the island and kitchen ceiling for the extractor, the washing machine, dryer and oven have arrived and been lifted up to the penthouse and today we made a start on cleaning some of the dust that tile cutting created. Today we also received the electrician’s certificate so the application for connection to mains electric and water will be made on Monday.
Next week the extractor fan will be fitted and the kitchen ceiling completed and we’ll do as much of the wall grouting as time permits + a bit more cleaning!
In the common areas the doors to the garage and pool areas have been fitted together with our garage windows. The lift frame and the cabinet which hides the fuse boxes have also been installed. The stair railings should be about another 2 weeks and we anticipate the quote for the double garage doors next week.
All in all, completion is week’s away! Happy with progress so far …
