Day 17 – I went to the hardware store first thing to buy the electrical cable only to find that I wanted more than they stocked. So that’s ordered for collection tomorrow morning.
I decided to make a start applying the insulation’s top coat of fibre glass mesh and render. Quite a lengthy job (I’d never make money as a plasterer – how do they get that perfect finish) – anyway I’m really pleased with what I achieved and I think it looks great.
A couple of the developers guys managed to clear all the builder’s unwanted rubble from the flat so now we can see the terrace! I also popped to the roof to see what was going on there and that’s also been cleared of rubbish and thr grouting of the limestone is well underway.
Finally …… I had a visit from the air con guy to get advise on where to locate units and what size and the end result is that I have a whole load more drilling and chasing into the stone to do – either that and make sure it’s neat and tidy or run the risk of an engineer making unwanted holes/mess in our walls.
Tomorrow, cable collection, drilling out light fittings on the terrace, prepping the air con channels and if there’s time left I’ll start pulling through some electrical cabling! Busy week ahead ….
