Days 92 to 96 – I took Wednesday off to join the Gozo Wednesday Walkers – something I’ll try and do more frequently going forward. Another busy week in the flat – the weather didn’t permit any further work on the roof so the focus was on getting the floors in the 3 bathroom areas complete.
So, the master bedroom and it’s en-suite floor area complete, less the shower area. The guest bedroom en-suite is 2/3rds done, the plumbing for the slipper bath and it’s huge floor mounted tap have been prepared – the tiling here will be completed when the bath goes in as we have to do a bit of “jiggery pokery”. The front bathroom is 2/3rds tiled and grouted (less shower area) and the whole sitting, dining and kitchen areas are grouted.
The developers have now built our garage wall and plastering of the garage area has commenced. All communal areas have now been tiled as well.
Next week’s focus will be on the shower areas and I will start sticking some wall tiles in the guest en-suite before we finally put the bath in – I may also start building some wooden units in the bathrooms as well. As we’re again due inclement weather I can’t complete the membrane on the roof which I’m eager to do as winter approaches. I will need at least a week of fine weather before I do that.
